Who We Are

Founded in 2021, HACF is a beacon of hope for kidney patients in Sudan. We provide free hemodialysis, sustain centers through conflict, and build toward kidney transplantation capacity.

HACF has maintained an active collaboration with the Sudanese Federal Ministry of Health (MOH) under a formal agreement through which the MOH supplies the Al Hijra kidney center with essential hemodialysis consumables — including dialyzers, bloodlines, and dialysis fluids. These supplies were initially provided through the National Center for Kidney Diseases and Surgery (NCKDS) and later through the Khartoum State Ministry of Health (KS-MOH).

In accordance with the agreement, the center is also entitled to receive a monthly operational subsidy based on the number of active hemodialysis machines. Typically, this funding covers approximately 30–55% of the total operating expenses, including staff salaries (nurses and biomedical engineers), as well as electricity and water costs and other expenses which are not specified in this post. HACF contributes the remaining balance to ensure uninterrupted operation and delivery of high quality care to our hemodialysis patients.

Patients are referred to the center by the NCKDS and/or KS-MOH, and all hemodialysis treatments are provided free of charge.
